Our Horses
Special Equestrians’ Horses are trained for therapeutic horsemanship and equine assisted activities and therapies. These horses are the keys to the success of our programs and services. To become one of our horses is a great honor. Our equine partners must have patience, prior training, and good health.
Sponsorships are appreciated to help offset the costs of caring for our SE therapy horses. If you would like to sponsor an SE horse, you will be helping us continue with our mission of “Making Miracles Happen.” Your name (or the name of your choosing) will appear on your horse’s stall door for one year.
Interested?
Many of our horses were donated by generous people in our community. If you are interested in donating your horse to Special Equestrians, please read our horse selection and information guidelines.
Special Equestrians also purchases horses for our center. If you have a healthy, well trained, calm horse who would be perfect for a 2nd career as a therapeutic riding horse, please contact us at 239-226-1221.
The horse acquisition form is needed for all horses considered for our center. It can be emailed to: spequestrians@gmail.com or mailed to: Special Equestrians, PO Box 61528, Fort Myers, FL 33906-1528
